KWAKWAKALANOOKSIWAE

[Native American] Kwakwakalanooksiwae is the Kwakiutl name for their Hamatsa Raven, considered to be the most important role of the Hamatsa ceremony, and is reserved for only senior members of the Hamatsa. Kwakwakalanooksiwae is a cannibal bird-monster. Hamatsa Raven should not be confused with the Kwakiutl's Raven (Kwekwaxa'we). Besides that Hamatsa Raven is a cannibal, he is much larger and more monstrous than Raven (who brought people the sun, tides, moon, stars, fire, and salmon).
