[Other] Olifat is the trickster figure for Chuuk (Truk) and Yap, primarily. He is the son of the sky-god Lugeilan and a mortal woman. He gave fire to humans, but also played many tricks on them. One of these is that he equipped sharks with razor-sharp teeth so they can devour humans and animals. The popular Olifat is the hero of many myths, in which he always appears as the semi-divine trickster/culture hero, in search of immortality. Palau has the trickster Medechiibelau. The Marshall Islands has the trickster Letao.
