[Greek] Twin sons of Zeus (or Hephaestus) and the nymph Thalia. They were chthonic deities who were venerated as heroes on Sicily. They had a shrine in Palacia, north-west of Syracuse, near Mount Etna. To test the reliability of their oath, people had to subject themselves to some kind of divine judgment at that place.
