Meaning of PHLEGYAS in English

[Greek heroic] The son of Ares and Chryse, mythical ancestor of the Phlegyans, a people of Thessaly. He was also the king of the Lapiths and father of Ixion and Coronis. When Coronis became the mother of Asclepius by Apollo, Phlegyas became so angry at Apollo that he torched his temple at Delphi. Apollo killed him and send him to the underworld.
