PUTANA

[Hindu] In Hindu mythology, the female demon, daughter of Bali, who tried to kill the infant Krishna by suckling him with her poisonous milk. Krishna slew her by draining her of her lifeblood. The demon is thought to cause abortion and diseases in children.
