SINON

Meaning of SINON in English

[Greek heroic] A Greek spy who, during the Trojan War, managed to gain the trust of the Trojans by pretending to have deserted the Greeks. He then persuaded them to move the wooden horse the Greeks had left into the city. When night fell, the Greeks climbed out of the huge horse and finally conquered Troy (Virgil II, 77).
