[Greek heroic] The son of Capaneus and Euadne, one of the Epigonoi. In the Trojan War he and Diomedes led the Argosean army (Virgil II, 261). The son of Perseus and Andromeda, king of Mycene and father of Eurystheus. The son of Androgeus, companion of Heracles on his journey to the Amazons. The king of Liguria, father of Cycnus.
