[Polynesian] In Maori myth, a goddess who descended from heaven to marry a human, Kai Tangata. They had a son called Hema. One day Kai Tangata offended her and she ascended back to heaven from the roof top, colored white, like a cloud. During their marriage, Waitiri taught her husband to fish with barbs.
