Meaning of WELE in English

[African] The supreme god of the Kavirondo (Vugusu) in Kenya. He first created the heavens, the sun and the moon, and the other celestial bodies. Finally he created the earth and mankind. He appears in two guises: as Omuwanga he is the benign 'white' god, and as Gumali he is the 'black' god who brings misfortune.
