ZONGET

[Other] Zonget is the goddess of hunting and wildlife among the Mansi (Vogul) and Khanty (Ostyak) people of Siberia. According to these people, the goddess rules all bird and animal life, as well as those who hunt them. By her command, birds and animals would either be caught or not. To human eyes, she looks like a greyhen, which is a kind of arctic bird.
