COAGULANT AID

Meaning of COAGULANT AID in English

(Wastewater Treatment) Fine particles with high surface area and high specific gravity providing for increased particle collisions during the neutralization process in wastewater treatment plants. They also improve settling and strengthen flocs in the coagulation process. They are generally used in much smaller doses than the coagulant itself. For example, Sodium Bicarbonate increases the efficiency of coagulation and extends the pH range to a level at which Alum (aluminum sulfate), is effective.
