Meaning of GLACIOEUSTACY in English

(1) The condition in which massive ice sheets store considerable quantities of water. Generally refers to periods of time during the Wisconsin age of the Pleistocene (glacial) epoch, when the oceans were some 300 to 330 feet lower than today and these waters were stored in the massive glaciers of this Ice Age period. (2) Changes in sea level due to storage or release of water on land as snow and glacier ice.
