RIME


Meaning of RIME in English

(1) A coating of ice, as on grass and trees, formed when extremely cold water droplets freeze almost instantly on a cold surface. (2) A white frost of congealed dew or vapor. An accumulation of granular ice tufts on the windward sides of exposed objects, particularly on grass and trees, slightly resembling Hoarfrost, but formed only from undercooled fog or cloud and always built out directly against the wind.
