Meaning of WATERCOURSE in English

A depression formed by runoff moving over the surface of the earth; any natural or artificial channel through which water flows; a lake, river, creek, stream, wash, arroyo, channel or other topographic feature on or over which waters flow at least periodically. Watercourses include specifically designated areas in which substantial flood damage may occur.
