MUDARAHA

A contractual agreement whereby the entire capital of a business enterprise is provided by an Islamic bank or financial institution. Management- however- remains in the hands of the party operating the business. Profit is shared in predetermined proportions- whereas any loss is borne solely by the provider of the capital.
