State of and in which the subsoil water table is located at or near the surface. In other words access water is accumulated in the root zone of the soil. In case the land is cultivated this results in a reduced yield of crops commonly grown. Uncultivated land is limited in its use because of the high subsoil water table. Choudhury and Jansen (1997)
