2. A Common Lisp implementation by Bruno Haible of Karlsruhe University and Michael Stoll . of Munich University , both in Germany. CLISP includes an interpreter , bytecode compiler , almost all of the CLOS object system , a foreign language interface and a socket interface . An X11 interface is available through CLX and Garnet . Command line editing is provided by the GNU readline library. CLISP requires only 2 MB of RAM . The user interface comes in German, English, French, Spanish, Dutch, and Russian and can be changed at run time .
CLISP is Free Software and distributed under the GPL . It runs on microcomputers ( OS/2 , Microsoft Windows , Amiga , Acorn ) as well as on Unix workstations ( Linux , BSD , SVR4 , Sun4 , Alpha , HP-UX , NeXTstep , SGI , AIX , Sun3 , and others).
