Electronic Commerce Modeling Language; an emerging, XML-based data exchange format between customers' Web browsers and merchants' Web sites used to simplify and standardize the process of shipping, billing, and payment. This proposed standard would designate a uniform set of field names that customers would store in "digital wallets" to be automatically share, as necessary, with merchant Web sites.
