Remote communication in which two-way video images are transmitted with audio. Although this can be accomplished with video cameras on special telephone connections, it is now possible to become much more sophisticated with videoconferencing using computers. A review of available systems is provided by Sherman (1995) . Many colleges have videoconferencing systems in place (e.g., see T H E. Technology Horizons in Education, September 1993, pp. 38-40).
