(anti-social behaviour order) an official order in Britain which tells someone not to go to particular places or not to see particular people. The order is given by a court to someone who has been found guilty of ANTI-SOCIAL behaviour such as ↑ vandalism (=deliberately damaging things, especially public property) or violence towards other people. If they do not obey the order, they are given a stronger punishment, such as being sent to prison.
