(1943–) one of America's greatest film actors, known especially for appearing as characters who are violent or are involved in very violent situations. He made many films with the ↑ director Martin Scorsese, including Taxi Driver (1976), Goodfellas (1990), and Casino (1995). He won an Oscar for the films The Godfather, Part 2 (1975) and Raging Bull (1991).
