(1893–1979) a Canadian-born actress who became Hollywood’s most famous SILENT FILM actress and was called ‘America’s Sweetheart’. She was married to the famous actor Douglas Fairbanks from 1920 to 1936, and formed United Artists with Fairbanks and Charlie Chaplin in 1919.
