(1950–) a British priest from Wales who became the Archbishop of Canterbury in 2003. He is known for his strong opinions, and there was some disagreement in the church when he was chosen for this job. He opposed the war in Iraq and he does not like the negative attitude of some members of the Church towards ↑ gay people. He is in favour of women priests.
