someone who actively tries to be abrasive and rude; someone whose people skills involve rubbing people the wrong way to make them go away. Usually associated with someone whose postion grants her power by who she's associtated with, such as an administrative assistant (secretary). Example: Barbara is a real attritionist unless she likes you.
