To wilfully misinterpret somebody else's words in such a way as to inflict the maximum offence, ignoring the obviously intended original meaning. A technique often used to pick fights in relationships, the contirbuted meaning will be based on an illogical and tenuous chain of reasoning. Example: Don't contirbute my words you paranoid bastard.
