CUSTOMER VIGILANTE

A fellow customer (always some stranger) who tries to help you find something in a store or offers free advice about a product. The key traits of a customer vigilante are that she is NEVER asked for her input, she tries to take on the role of a customer service representative, and her advice is always wrong. Example: You: I wonder if the new Jamiroquai CD is out yet. Customer Vigilante: I saw some Jamiroquai CDs on a shelf on the other side of the store. You: That's the discount rack for old CDs.
