HOSEBROKE

Describes an individual who has been rendered dysfunctional by catastrophic ego deflation, usually preceded by self over-inflation of ego. (Inspired by the catastrophic failure of a neighbor's garden hose). Example: Yeah, Ed got passed over for the V.P. spot, so now he's hosebroke.
