KNOD

Meaning of KNOD in English

The knowing, desperately agreeing, eager-to-please sort of nod (often accompanied by yes and that's right) used by panelists on a discussion programme when listening to a member of the audience mouth off some deranged nonsense that is the exact opposite of what the panelist has just said. Example: He knodded compulsively, a frantic look creeping into his eyes.
