CENTRIFUGAL FORCE

The apparent force in a rotating system that deflects masses radially outward from the axis of rotation. This force increases towards the equator and decreases towards the poles. This force on the earth and in the atmosphere due to the rotation about the earth's axis is incorporated with the field of gravitation to form gravity.
