RHAMNACEOUS

adj of or pertaining to a natural order of shrubs and trees (rhamnaceae, or rhamneae) of which the buckthorn (rhamnus) is the type. it includes also the new jersey tea, the supple-jack, and one of the plants called lotus (zizyphus).
