1. a member of the construction battalions of the U.S. Navy, established in December, 1941, to build landing facilities, airfields, etc., in combat areas.

2. Also, See-Bee . a large, ocean-going, barge-carrying vessel equipped with a heavy-duty elevator situated at the stern to facilitate the loading and unloading of barges.
