(benchmark timing methodology) (n.) In computer graphics, a method of measuring how long it takes to run the purchaser's Benchmark Interchange Format ( BIF ) program. This method ensures that the viewing pipelines of dissimilar graphics libraries are measured in a consistent manner. The BTM provides the conditions and parameters necessary to determine the length of time it takes to run the requested benchmark.
