QUOTIENT RULE

Rule for finding the derivative of a quotient of two functions.

If both f and g are differentiable, then so is the quotient f (x)/ g (x). In abbreviated notation, it says (f/g) 2032; = (gf 2032; -fg 2032; )/ g 2 .
