Preserve, southern central Alaska, U.S. Established in 1980, it comprises the former Mount McKinley National Park (1917) and Denali National Monument (1978).
Highlights of the park include Mount McKinley , the large glaciers of the Alaska Range , and abundant wildlife. The park's total area is 5,000,000 acres (2,025,000 hectares).
