APOLLODORUS OF DAMASCUS

flourished 2nd century AD Greek engineer and architect who worked primarily for the Roman emperor Trajan (reigned 98117). He was banished by the emperor Hadrian and executed c. AD 130. The most famous works associated with him are the designs for Trajan's Forum in Rome and for Trajan's Column.
