CROWNS OF EGYPT

Meaning of CROWNS OF EGYPT in English

part of the sovereign emblem of the kings of ancient Egypt. The crown of Upper Egypt was white and cone-shaped, with a model of the uraeus serpent in front, while that of Lower Egypt was red and shaped more like a cap with two projectionsa tall straight one in back and a spiral one in front. Often these two crowns were worn together, forming the Double Crown and symbolizing the unification of both parts of Egypt under the divine king.
