A network of correspondents supplies weekly reports from the countries in the region. The Far Eastern Economic Review is noted for its objectivity and for the accuracy of its reports. Its editorial stance is oriented distinctly toward free trade and market economics and has generally resembled that of the London Economist or The Wall Street Journalwhose publishers, Dow Jones & Company, acquired ownership of the magazine in 1974.
