a comedy play ( c. 1601) by William Shakespeare . It is set in the court of Orsino, Duke of Illyria, and is a complicated love story. The humour of the play is provided mainly by the characters Malvolio, Sir Toby Belch and Sir Andrew Aguecheek. The play begins with one of Shakespeare’s best-known lines: ‘If music be the food of love, play on.’
