a US singer and writer of soul and rock music who also plays the piano. Wonder, who was born blind, has won 17 Grammy awards, including ones for You Are the Sunshine of My Life (1973) and For Your Love (1995). His other hits have included For Once in My Life (1968), Yester-me, Yester-you, Yester-day (1969), Superstition (1973) and Happy Birthday (1981). His albums include Innervisions (1973) and Songs in the Key of Life (1976).
