SALVADOR EDWARD LURIA

n. (1912-1991) Italian born U.S. microbiologist who shared the 1969 Nobel Prize (with Max Delbruck and Alfred Hershey) for medicine or physiology for research on the mechanisms and materials of inheritance of viruses
