Meaning of MACQUARIE HARBOUR in English

Inlet of the Indian Ocean, western Tasmania , Australia.

It is 20 mi (32 km) long and 5 mi (8 km) wide. Visited in 1815 by Capt. James Kelly, it was named after Lachlan Macquarie, governor of New South Wales. Its coast was the site of a penal colony 1821–33.
