He worked as a newspaper reporter before joining NBC radio as a writer in 1930. Morse wrote, directed, and produced many radio programs, including the highly popular soap opera One Man's Family (193259; television, 194952), the drama I Love a Mystery (193944, 194952), and the soap opera The Woman in My House (195159).
