French artist, cabinetmaker, and furniture designer.
The son of a cabinetmaker, he was trained as a painter and studied under Art Nouveau style and became one of its leading exponents. In his furniture he incorporated a flowing line into polished woods, highlighted by Art Nouveau bronze mounts.
