born Nov. 3, 1618, Dhod, Malwa, India died March 3, 1707 also spelled Aurangzib, Arabic Awrangzib, kingly title 'alamgir, original name Muhi-ud-Din Muhammad last of the great Mughal emperors of India (reigned 16581707).
