CRUCES

city, east central Cienfuegos province, central Cuba. Cruces is a railroad junction and commercial centre for the surrounding agricultural and pastoral lands. The area is known primarily for sugarcane, although large quantities of tobacco are also produced there. The city's principal industry is sugar refining. There are mineral springs nearby. Pop.
