GUTO'R GLYN

flourished c. 1440, 93 Welsh bard whose works were among the first to show a consciousness of nationhood among the people of Wales. Gwaith Guto'r Glyn (The Works of Guto'r Glyn, first published in 1939) was collected by J.Ll. Williams and edited by Sir Ifor Williams. Guto'r Glyn lived at Glynceiriog and Valle Crucis, Denbighshire (now in the county of Clwyd).
