TOKELAU

also called (191646) Union Group or (194676) Tokelau Islands island territory of New Zealand, consisting of three atolls in the South Pacific Ocean. Tokelau lies 300 miles (480 km) north of Samoa and 2,400 miles (3,900 km) southwest of Hawaii. Area 3.9 square miles (10.1 square km). Pop. (1992 est.) 1,700.
