Meaning of COCHRAN in English

(1938–60)

a US singer of rock and roll music whose career began in 1956. He played the guitar, and his most popular songs were C’mon Everybody (1958) and Summertime Blues (1958). He died in a car crash, but his passenger, the singer Gene Vincent, survived. Cochran had recorded Three Steps to Heaven (1960) just before his death.
