I . Stephen Crane
(1871–1900)
a US journalist who wrote poems and realistic novels. His most famous novel is The Red Badge of Courage (1895) about a frightened soldier who finds courage in the American Civil War . Crane went to live in England in 1897 but died three years later at the age of 28.
II . Walter Crane
(1845–1915)
an English artist and member of the Arts and Crafts Movement . His colourful book illustrations had a strong influence on the development of children’s books.
