( Special Forces Operational Detachment Delta )
a special unit in the US Army that fights against terrorists and guerrillas. Its base is at Fort Bragg, North Carolina , and it has been active in Vietnam, Iran, Afghanistan and Iraq. Delta Force was organized like the British SAS , and many of its members have trained with that unit.
